Nature: * Specification: 0.8g

The Qilin—An Auspicious Beast

The Forbidden City encapsulates the essence of traditional Chinese culture and is a pinnacle of Chinese culture and art. The Qilin, as the foremost symbol of auspiciousness, guards the Forbidden City. To promote traditional Chinese culture, the Beijing Palace Museum Cultural Service Center presents the "Forbidden Qilin", bringing blessing and protection to every wearer.

The Qilin is an auspicious beast in ancient Chinese legends, characterized by a single horn, a deer's body, and an ox's tail, with fish scales covering its entire body, symbolizing auspiciousness. The "Forbidden Qilin" is inspired by the gilded copper Qilin located at the Cining Gate of the Forbidden City.

The hair knot on its head is crafted with azure low-temperature enamel, symbolizing "striking gold".

The center of the forehead features red low-temperature enamel, implying good luck.

The body is adorned with flame patterns, symbolizing prosperity.

The four feet are distinctly sculpted, round and full, highlighting the Qilin's demeanor, symbolizing stable careers and harmonious lives.

Hand-woven auspicious knot brings luck to you

Crafted with ancient knotting techniques, this is a hand-woven talisman by artisans. The red woven bracelet is festive and auspicious, implying good luck. The "Quadrangle Safety Knot" symbolizes safety throughout the year, while the "Complete Knot" and "Wealth Lantern Knot" are arranged in sequence, adding an auspicious meaning to beauty and symbolizing a fulfilling life and thriving family.

3D hard gold craftsmanship

Crafted from gold, this product employs 3D hard gold technology, showcasing the gentle luster and primitive texture of gold without being overly flashy.

The outer box features a laminated structure and is inspired by the curled-up dragon caisson ceiling design of the Hall of Supreme Harmony. The inner box showcases the gilded copper Qilin at the Cining Gate as its main visual element. The inner and outer boxes are combined to present the beautiful implications of guardianship. Surrounding the inner box, the decorative patterns are derived from quadrangle Ruyi motifs, implying peace, happiness, and harmony.
